If you are looking for some seafood, in particular, then head here. On the coast road, heading North, on the coast road you could easily miss this small cafe. Keep your eyes peeled and your belly empty and prepare your taste buds for some delicious treats. I thought reasonably priced and good sized portions.
I could go on but, as ever, just get yourself there and I am sure you won't be disappointed by what's on offer. Plenty of off road parking, outdoor and indoor seating. No toilet I'm afraid but there is a public toilet across the road which you can use for 20p.

A hidden jewel! Amazing salad platter for just £12. Can't complain about any of it. Simply delicious. I'm a convert to anchovies & cockles. Never been my thing before but the way this dish is served, it was all fresh/ freshly cooked and ALL good! Update 2025: Crab or Salmon Royal Salad just £12.50. Just a 50p price increase. Fantastic

Went to confirm no availability with the owner and he quickly said as we were early we could have a table that had been booked for 1pm and we could use that table until then. We both had the crab royal salad which was every bit as good as it looked.
Thanked the owner for his hospitality and can only say that there is a very good reason why this place is always fully booked and that is the food is absolutely amazing, service was excellent and was great value.- Meal type

A truly authentic experience! A generously sized plate of seafood and salad, as fresh as it comes and attractively served, at a far lower price than you'd pay in a pub, let alone a restaurant. We sat outside in the sunshine, at a wonky table set on the sandy ground outside the old fashioned café (and it felt more like a homely café than a restaurant, and all the better for that) with other diners around us. They do have a limited number of tables indoors.
If you need the loo, you walk round to the pub nearby and pay 20p for the privilege of using theirs in the courtyard.
And - be warned - Cookie's is a CASH ONLY establishment, they don't take cards!
Lovely food, great range of traditional puddings - except we didn't have room, which was a bit of a shame!

But hey, all that is worth it, the crab salad was delicious, fresh and didn't break the bank. Outside seating and if turn right when leaving and almost immediately left. Park up and walk up the pebbles to a wonderful crystal clean patch of sea. We sat and let our lunch go down, with a wonderful sea breeze. Will definitely go back for more Royal crab and might try the Royal crab and lobster salad. Highly recommend.- Service

Don't expect smart surroundings because you won't get them. Cookies is basic and rustic and that adds to the character. Dining outside on the picnic furniture is best if the weather allows it. We visit every year this is a treat to go once whilst on holiday and take a takeaway platter home , if you want silver service this isn’t for you , this is a hard working local set up . I wish I lived closer would be there at least once a week . Try getting a crab /lobster salad in Devon /Cornwall most places anywhere near these prices !- Parking

We had a lovely meal it was exactly as I remembered it from 5 years ago. The owners were very nice and friendly we had a good chat about Cookies and how long they had owned it. Our meal of various fish, crab, prawns, cockles topped with our choice on the Royal menu excellent. We will definitely return for our next celebration meal.

Highly recommend this place. Food is out of this world. This time I tried Crab Royal salad.£12.50. Dressed crab, prawns, cockles, smoked mackerel and anchovies with delicious homemade potato salad and crispy fresh lettuce, cucumber, beetroot and tomatoes. Will definitely visit again when in Norfolk. You need to book as it is very popular.

Really fantastic food. We had the Crab royal salad. Really fresh. Smoked fish was something else and will be defiantly hard to beat. We returned again (28th June 2024) and tried the lobster royal salad. Fantastic food quality and excellent service again. Booked another table for next week to try and go through more of the menu

Our first visit .... we are not local. Lovely dressed crab, crab sandwich and prawns. Other reviews talk about the owner being rude. That's complete rubbish. He doesn't waste words and that is someone's style. He is friendly when you show to accept that. Our sandwich had more than enough filling, plenty actually. The experience was pleasant enough to go back with more cash and order bigger portions.

Great seafood at good prices. Crab salad was excellent. Get the seafood platter! You choose your main (we had excellent crab) and the rest is salad, fish and prawns. A really nice place.

Superb. It’s always superb. We’ve been going for 25 years and it remains exactly the same - astonishingly good quality seafood, simply prepared at extraordinarily low prices. Anyone who says otherwise is, I suspect , seeing their own behaviour returned or expecting something for nothing. Long live Cookies
